OK, earthlings, ready to roll here. Ask away.
@JV: Jake Fisher? Arik Armstead? Probably
@StuckinNNJ: Marcus was really athletic when he first came to the Daily News, but that was a couple of decades and several children ago. He has put on a little weight.
I don't think anybody can know whether they will get Mariota. You're hearing a little bit of everything right now. If I were Tamapa Bay or Tennessee, I would just draft him. But I'm not.
@LukeLukens: Well, Super Bowl winners have tended NOT to have that guy, recently. I think they need more than they have there, though.
@DuckHuntingBrotha: It isn't a terribly strong draft overall. There have been several lately with more top-end "star power." Value seems to be in the middle rounds.
I am struggling with new chat setup. Bear with me. Nobody even told me there WAS a new format, and I'm figuring it out by trail and error.
Can't seem to move guy's question over, but he's asking if there's too much Mariota hype, if he could drop pout of top 10. I think at bare minimum, somebody trades up to 2 and takes him, but we'll see.
I think he definitely goes in the top 10. Elite talent. I had him seventh to the Bears, just because I think that's his range.
Good question. I think that would be a reach for him sizewise. I think he's really good at what he does now. I am starting to wonder if these size requirements are a little too rigid.
@DuckHuntingBrotha: Very quickly. But he can do what Bill Davis says he needs his corners to do, so in a sense, we'll see how well his concept works.
I have to think it will be resolved at No. 2.
First this year, Bradford, Boykin, Kendricks? With second next year already gone in Bradford trade, don't think he can offer 2016 first.
@DuckHuntingBrotha: That was unresolved when we talked to Ed Marynowitz. He seemed to indicate Howie would be in the room. I would want him there, just because he has been through more of these than anyone else in the front office.
That can still happen for this season.
Nobody wants Manziel right now. The Eagles certainly don't
@DuckHuntingBrotha: Hard to say, but I would imagine so. Might be easier to shift site than in MLB.
@Marc: You didn't read my mock draft today now, didja? I took him at 20, like him very much.
Another guy whose question I can't seem to move over wants to know if Tennessee is really interested in Sam Bradford. Differing reports there. I think Whisenhunt likes vets; his best success was with Kurt Warner.
@InagodadavidaBaby: The 2 is in 2016, but I do think the Eagles want and need more than 8 picks.
@Splunge: We are getting a little deep in the hockey weeds for me here. I dunno, but he's a heckuva coach, and if he wants to coach the Flyers, I say pay him. But Hexy is the GM.
@JoshR: Mariota, because the Eagles are bigger.
@msmcdickey: Don't see that happening, but I would get a chuckle, certainly.
@BernardWilliams: Anything is possible, but there are no rumblings there at all.
@howe: I haven't seen him on the field yet. My impulse is to say no, but it is really just a guess.
@Earl: Dallas will get a good running back, but I always worry more about quarterbacks than running backs.
