Zach Good morning: I know there is a such thing as coach speak. But Kelly is being caught up in his own lack of transparencey regarding his moves on this team. He keeps saying things like execution is the problem. Not the coaching/training. He keeps talking about plays, then backtracks and says score is what matters most. He is deflecting blame to the players, which is a part of the reason they are 4-5. But, the major reason is Kelly himself. Why can he not admit that he has done a very poor job GM'ing, and coaching this team?

No matter what people say about Sanchez he at least brings some juice to the offense. He's high octane and gets your blood flowing, things start moving with him. If last years defense was like this year those loses I think would have been wins. Why didn't Chip give him a real chance to be the starter at the beginning of the year.. All about money..?

Obviously I blame Kelly for the state of the team, but it seems like there's a lot about the roster that's forced his hand in personnel matters - he inherited a group decrepit on defense, so he had to draft primarily on that side of the ball. If they hit on Marcus Smith, they don't need to trade for Alonso, and maybe they get a lineman or a WR for McCoy. My point is that Kelly hasn't been perfect, but I also think that we're starting to really see just how bad the defensive personnel were during Andy's last two years. This feels like that pendulum swinging back the other way, when what we really need is balance between both sides of the ball. Does that make sense? Am I grounded in reality?

I disagree. He didn't inherit a great defense, but he inherited some key players -- Cox, Kendricks. Curry is a good pass rusher. Boykin in the slot. That 2012 draft gave them some players. They also had DeMeco Ryans and Brandon Graham. Chip has made some good moves, but some of the offensive changes are worth questioning.
