I'm here, ready to chat. Always look forward to your questions. Let's get going...
We know that he's passing and he's at the facility, but we don't know what his level of participation will be for OTAs/mini-camp. Those are still two weeks away. The impression I get is he'll be fine for training camp.
I disagree with what LeSean said -- I don't think race factors into Chip Kelly's decisions at all -- but I do think that LeSean often feels empowered to speak for others who can't. As far as Kelly, my impression is some of these decisions are more about personality. I thought Jeff McLane wrote a good column on it last week -- Chip wants players who will "conform."
My gut feeling is yes, but it's not definite. A lot can happen between now and the regular season. The WR picture looked different two years ago because of injuries. But my gut feeling is yes.
Very good question. It's something to watch. I'd look into Joe Barksdale.
The bonus is usually a few thousand, depending on the player. Then there's a per diem-type deal for the offseason program/training camp. If they're on the roster during the regular season, it's the league min.
I can't answer with that authority, other than to say I think all quarterbacks know how they want their footballs to feel.
Around Aug. 2 -- two weeks before preseason opener.
It all depends on the quarterback, Joe. I don't know if the defense is "significantly" better. There are still some unproven pieces. If Bradford is good, I think the Eagles are a little bit better.
Funny question. No cheating tactics. I think the key is to show up every day and treat people the right way. Be there, be fair.
I'd hold on the Marino comparison, but I do think the talent is present. He was the No. 1 pick for a reason. Maybe not Marino good, but if he can be healthy, he'll be good.
I don't think they're clones. I think Shepherd will play more outside, actually. He's taller than Boykin. That said, I think Boykin is a good player. I'd play him more.
1) Bradford, 2) Sanchez. 3)....Tebow? ...I just don't know if the Eagles are sold on Barkley going into Year 3, and I think they could be intrigued about the utility of that third QB spot.
I expect to see him more at safety this season, Joe. I'll know the progress when I watch the OTA/mini-camps. ..Reynolds had good measurements and film coming out of Stanford. Missing time really set him back, though.
I don't. More of an in-the-box safety, and not a special teams contributor.
Of course. I wish Bulls-Cavs was a 17-game series -- not a 7-game series. Clippers-Rockets is a good series, but I was hoping for a bit more out of those games.
Good question. I don't know Bradford well yet. When I do, I'll have much more on that.
Not set, but I think that's the best option now. Matt Tobin is one internal name to watch at right guard if Barbre struggles.
Not "done", but they lack great depth on the offensive line. I agree there. Sanchez is a really good backup QB.
A chance? Sure. That's wide open. A full offseason will help him.
I can see it being reduced to two games, but I really don't know. I was surprised he got four.
There are too many variables for that. If you suspended mismatched weeks, what if he's injured? And why weight one game vs. another. The week you play a team is luck of draw. Sometimes, schedule works in your favor. Other times, it doesn't. Eagles didn't see Von Miller two years ago, I believe. Before Robert Mathis' injury last year, that suspension was within the period the Eagles played the Colts.
McCoy and Maclin. Not to say Murray and Agholor won't have good seasons. Just think the usage rates for the other players will be ihgher.
