Thank you for joining the weekly chat. I'm coming to you from the combine in Indianapolis. Much to discuss, let's get to your questions...
They're going to open money. I promise you that. They won't be players for big-ticket free agents because some teams just have significantly more cap space, but they'll be able to add a piece or two if they want.
I'd take a QB if I was in their position, but hard to argue with Barkley's talent.
I didn't interpret it like that. I think it's that Graham deserves money, and they'll see what happens. Roseman never talks about a player's specific contract negotiations to the media.
My guess is no. If they move on from a DE, it'll be because of money. If they just turn around a pay someone else at the position, it wouldn't be as logical.
Curry is someone who could be restructured or moved. The Eagles will always have money tied into DE. The question is whether the money matches the production.
That would be my guess. I'd be surprised to see both Kendricks and Bradham on the roster.
There are a few intriguing linebackers in the draft, but it all depends how many picks the Eagles end up with. Right now, it's hard to connect them with a player because they have one pick in the first three rounds.
No, I'm actually not in the stadium for those events. The media is in a separate room for interviews. I watch the testing on television.
Not necessarily. It could be a draft pick.
They're answering questions. The team has been high on Sudfeld. In fact, Roseman prefaced his Sudfeld comment by saying it's not related to Foles. And by the way, talking up Sudfeld wouldn't drive up the market because it would mean the Eagles are more inclined to move him.
The Eagles are in contact with agents from just about all their free agents. If price is right, they'd strike, but I wouldn't necessarily categorize something as a priority.
I don't. I think Sproles finds a better deal closer to his S. California home.
I think they work something out with Peters.
I suppose in theory, but I don't know the answer to that question. Hasn't been tested.
I think the Eagles see what they can get in the draft. They like this draft class.
They'd get the same money or more money, just distributed differently. Or if they feel a restructured deal is better than one they can get on the open market.
Best available player. Honestly. They don't have pressing needs. But I'd say 3rd DT, 3rd safety, returner are areas at which I'd prioritize.
I'd say a second, and I'd say yes.
Depends what the Eagles do at cornerback. I can see him taking some slot work, but I wouldn't say safety.
Derwin James. I think he's an outstanding prospect.
