Thank you for joining the weekly chat. Much to discuss at 3-4 with Eagles heading to London. Let's get to your questions...
You want D. Pederson making personnel decisions? Eagles like having the structure as it is now. I don't think they need to make Pederson the GM.
No, I don't think Eagles make a defensive coordinator in season. Nor should they. The defense isn't as much of a problem as the offense right now.
They miss Blount now that Ajayi is injured, not before Ajayi was injured. ...And Peters is nearing the end, but he can productive this year still. They'll see how Mailata develops. I do think he can be LT of the future.
I don't think they'd get what they want for him, and he has more value at this point now as Wentz insurance.
I do think H. Roseman makes a deal. I think the Cooper trade raised the price on deals, but I think Howie finds a way to get something done. A blockbuster? Hard to know, but I wouldn't rule it out. Patrick Peterson would be the blockbuster move.
At that price, I would have considered it. But I didn't think it was a slam dunk move.
Maybe, that would be interesting.
The question was how long he'd be able to play. Look at his past few years.
Wouldn't give up much for him, considering his contract and age.
Defensive tackle, no question.
Secondary help is my guess.
A 2nd, or a 1st for Peterson and Arizona's 3rd.
I'm sorry you feel that way. What question isn't being asked? I can assure you there is no intimidating.
Good observations. I see parts of that. I think defenses are better prepared for them. How do the Eagles counter? They're not running well enough, and they don't have a deep threat on the outside. So some of it is personnel, too
I think Wallace will be one player who returns from IR. My guess is Hollins or Rodgers for the other spot. I don't think McLeod comes back.
No, I don't see that. I think Wentz is moving well. Don't think mobility has been issue, although he's been quick to throw more than run. But he can extends plays still.
Outstanding QB. Can make every throw. Loved him at Texas Tech, think world of him now. Also has better weapons. Will be in the class with Wentz, for sure.
Because I think it's easier to trade for quality secondary help than a quality defensive lineman. Plus, a lot depends on Jernigan.
I don't see David Johnson getting traded. He just signed a new deal. Patrick Peterson would be a big pickup. Also think LeSean McCoy, at the right price, makes sense.
Dolphins just lost Albert Wilson, so they might need Parker now. But Parker is a change-of-scenery player that would have interested me.
