Thank you for joining the weekly chat. Much to discuss after a bad, bad Eagles loss. Let's get to your questions...
I'll need to see it to believe it. They have the talent, but they haven't been as effective as last season. Good health will help with that, but I don't know if Lane Johnson will be 100 percent all season.
If they fail to make the playoffs, it's a bad result to the trade. You make this trade because you're in win-now mode. They'll get a comp. pick back, but it's a bad trade if they don't make postseason.
Nope, because they thought they'd have Jay Ajayi. If they had Ajayi, running game would look much different.
Howie loves draft capital, trust me. This trade was to try to squeeze something out of this season. They can get a comp. pick back, but it's a trade if they're 7-9.
Hollins and Rodgers? Maybe Hollins and Wallace
I think Tate signs elsewhere this offseason. He'll get a big contract and not sure that's the direction the Eagles will go.
Those reasons are valid. Injuries are a reality in the NFL, but they're more concentrated to certain positions this year and Eagles aren't as resilient. Play-calling is a factor, too, especially early in games. I also think they're older and it's just a different team.
Don't think that's the problem. Dallas Goedert was a good pick there. Need to weigh it compared to what else was on the board, too.
Young D-linemen and getting faster on offense.
I disagree on minimal impact, but they haven't played as well as last year. I don't think it's scheme related.
Nothing that would move the meter. Could be promoting DeVante Bausby.
How many points did the offense score in both games? Not letting defense off the hook, but why do they need to win 17-14 games?
Too soon to say. My guess is no.
Jones is close. Will know more about Jernigan later in the week. Don't think Mills is back.
A few times this year. Great sack in Week 1.
I don't think they have bad DBs right now. But most of them are hurt.
I appreciate that, but not "satisfaction." I'd like to think being around the team as much as I am, you get a gauge on what's going on. I didn't see 4-5 right now, but I saw depth issues that have come to light.
Correct, Pederson called plays and still does. He must do better.
I think they view Gibson is more of a long-term prospect.
