Welcome to the weekly chat. I'm here in Orlando. Much to discuss -- let's get to all your questions...
When healthy, I do. It will be difficult, but the offensive line is a strength. They have four players who've been to Pro Bowl (Peters, Brooks, Kelce, Johnson) and a steady veteran in Wisniewski. But they must stay healthy.
I don't know what to make of that yet. It's still early, he's still under contract. I don't know how much new money they want to give to someone who will be 30 next season, but Graham has certainly earned it.
My guess is the Eagles wait to see what happens in the draft at TE.
They're around $6M right now.
I think they draft a TE and RB. Not sure when, but they'll draft from both spots. At tight end, I think Ertz and a rookie and then maybe an inexpensive veteran after May 8.
I don't know either of them other than news conferences, so hard for me to say. But Eagles have a strong locker room and it's usually a good place for veterans.
Greg, when I ask Howie questions, I'm not advocating a position -- I'm trying to get his position. I push when it warrants it, but it's not my place to grandstand for Brent Celek.
Honestly, I'm not allowed out there for much of practice during the regular season, and that's when they added him. I see glimpses early in practice -- good size, moves decently for his size. But I haven't seen enough outside of the Cowboys game to really tell you.
I think there will be resolution around the draft.
Can't rule it out, but I don't know if it will be a significant move-up.
I think they'll draft on Day 2 one way or another.
Not mandatory. They could wait until after next season before his option year.
Rams will be a contender, no doubt. Still curious about their edge rush. Will be a good matchup next season.
I think they'll take Darnold. Rosen is the QB I like the most.
I think they might add a FA who was cut elsewhere, but don't think they'll mess with comp. pick formula. So for those that would count against formula, I think they wait until May. I can see a trade.
Way too soon to say. I need to see what happens with the draft. But my guess is the roster will be better considering the development of some young pieces. Doesn't mean they'll have a better record.
Depends how the draft falls. Can't predict trades. Think Dalvin Cook could have been an Eagle last year if they could have made a deal to move up. But those are good backs -- a lot of good backs this year. I like Kerryon Johnson.
Depends on the player. Of those three, I'd say an offensive tackle or safety.
Teams usually make those types of moves after the draft, at least re: personnel.
Getting a QB was a big part of it. He had a sound strategy elsewhere, but hitting on the QB was the key.
