Thank you for joining the weekly chat. Eagles are 2-2 after a bad loos. Much to discuss. Let's get right to it...
Interesting question. That's one option. Honestly. I'd see if Mills can play some safety. I think he could be a good safety in the league. But they'd need to get him on board with it.
I never said Graham was a starting player. I thought he was good safety depth. And he is. But a season-ending injury is big. I still think Eagles should have done more at safety. Deiondre' Hall is an option if he picks up the defense. But that's a position that the Eagles left themselves thin, especially considering their sub packages.
Some of it. He's an underrated player. I also think Eagles need to figure out what the problem is with the deep ball -- scheme, technique, or personnel. Teams are going to make plays, but the way teams are challenging the Eagles says something.
I'll find out more from Jim Schwartz in a few minutes. But Maddox is rangier. The Eagles like Douglas as an outside cornerback at this point.
Fair question. He must do both. So much of punting is situational. Unless you're pinned back in your own zone, those big kicks aren't as much of a help. You need to be able keep punts out of the end zone.
I think Kelce might be going through a knee injury, but he's not on the injury report. They need to play better in pass protection. There's no debating that one.
Could have been hand. His hand grazed Wentz's helmet.
Yes on Sproles. I don't think Celek as much because pass blocking has been the problem, and you don't want a TE staying in to pass protect. Maybe to chip, but not as a full blocker.
He knows the personnel on the Eagles, so there's an advantage there like there was with Reich. But I don't think it will have a huge influence on the game.
I think Kelce might be more injured than the team is letting on.
So impressed. I loved Mahomes coming out of Texas Tech. On the day before an Eagles game in 2016, I went to a TCU-Texas Tech game. I was enthralled by Mahomes. You can see all the tools. And A. Reid has developed impressive skill position players. I don't like KC's defense, but I think they can score with anybody.
I should say Kelce is not on the injury report. But he banged his knee against the Falcons and has been wearing a knee brace ever since.
Crowd noise is a big factor, but it can't be the only factor. I don't have a good answer otherwise. I've wondered about it and asked about it. And the sample size is large enough to think something is there.
I think there will be some adjustments in the secondary. Don't know what yet.
Don't know. Reich had a weekly news conference, and DeFilippo didn't meet with reporters as often. Obviously, no expectation of anything. Was a nice gesture by Reich.
Not getting to the QB enough. Doing well against the run, though.
I thought it would help him, but he had some uncharacteristic drops last week. He was in the slot last week, too.
Good point, and that very well might be the case.
There's a chance he could come back. They're keeping the door open.
