Thank you for joining the weekly chat. After the draft, there's much to discuss. Let's get right to your questions. I look forward to hearing what's on your mind...
I think they're OK there with Haloti Ngata replacing Beau Allen, and then Destiny Vaeao/Elijah Qualls returning. And what you must remember is that the Eagles move DEs inside on passing downs. Two players who could do that are Brandon Graham and Michael Bennett.
He'll have a chance to compete for a role, but I don't see him taking many snaps this year unless there's injury. Jeffery/Agholor/Wallace/Hollins are top 4.
Because you know how Corey Graham functions in that role. I wouldn't object to Parker, but it's not a night-and-day difference, I'd say.
I think Sproles was that running back. And my guess is they're OK at wide receiver at this point. They could add someone if the value is there, but you're talking about a WR5/WR6.
I do. This the time of year when there are changes. I would think there are some changes in the next few weeks. I wouldn't anticipate it being earth-shattering, though.
I liked the Sweat pick quite a bit. What didn't you like about that one? Sixth and seventh round, I see your point. Eagles took projects there. At that point, you're drafting someone to make sure you don't miss them in the UDFA market.
I saw Goedert in person, but that's it. I'll see them in a few weeks.
Head and shoulders? I wouldn't phrase it like that. I think Eagles are up there with any team in the NFC. They return a Super Bowl team and added a few pieces, and they're healthier. I don't think lack of talent is the issue next year.
If anything happens, my guess is it's during the next two months before training camp/
It's somewhat entertaining. I don't think it's too extreme. At some point, it might get tired, but right now, it was innocent enough and added some juice to the second round.
I really liked what the Cardinals did. I'm big on Rosen and Christian Kirk. Two good pickups. I really like what Denver did all the way through. I think they aced it. For the Packers to get Alexander and an extra 1st, that's a good draft.
Depends what the price is, but I think they'll try. Agholor proved last year how valuable he is. And I think he continues to improve.
Wentz is eligible for a deal next year. I'm not sure he signs one then, but if you're convinced he's your QB -- and they obviously are -- it's better earlier than later. Avoids any problems and the price only gets more expensive, not less expensive. But the fifth-year option and franchise tag means they're not at risk of losing him.
Nothing concrete. Not out of the question this is Graham's last year in Philly.
The spring meeting isn't a GM-trade event, so to speak. I don't think Darby or Graham gets moved. I wouldn't rule out Kendricks still.
It depends what you think of Mayfield. I didn't love their draft, but if you're sold on Mayfield, then you should be happy with it.
I was, until they re-signed Sproles. That changes everything there. As for Josh Adams, he'll have a shot, but he'll need to beat Smallwood and Pumphrey.
It will be Ajayi, Sproles, and Clement. All three will have a role. Ajayi will be the lead ball carrier.
He won't be participating in the spring. We'll see about early training camp.
