Any competitive person wishes it was him. But I would imagine Andy is happy for the people he knows in the organization.
Sign me up -- I'd look hard at that. Not sure if they'd want to come here or not.
Why Jeff Fisher or Adam Zimmer?
A starter, that's hard to say. But I think the Eagles think they can develop him at least into a solid backup.
Development. How do the unproven position coaches do developing players?
Depends what the price is. I wouldn't sacrifice too much draft capital.
I'd imagine Mills and Darby start, with Mills moving inside and Jones coming on the field in the nickel.
Way too soon to say. I still haven't even seen the schedule!
I'm curious about why that's the case. I haven't heard a good answer.
Douglas is in charge of the personnel staff. Scouts report to him. His grading system is huge. He's a huge part of what the Eagles do.
Groh brings a QB background. I think that's what Pederson liked. I haven't spoken to Duce about it yet.
I think Howie is always on the phone, but it's usually setting up possibilities now.
It all depends on the player. Not many of those players out there.
I disagree. I think safeties are so valuable because they can be used three downs in different roles -- from LB to slot.
I can see that, although if you're not driven regardless, you're in the wrong business.
Once they signed Wallace, I just don't know where another veteran WR fits in. He's not going to play special teams.
They can't get high enough for Barkley. The guy I love is Derwin James. Don't know if they have the ammo to do that, though.
Maurice Hurst. If he's there, he'd be hard to pass up on. Justin Reid is a guy I'd pay attention to as well.
You get emotionally invested in your coverage, not in the results. So you want to write the best story about the game or the player or the topic that you can -- that's the emotional investment. But if you're emotionally invested in the subject, then it clouds your objectivity. I like to say -- I'm desensitized, but not dehumanized. I very much have human reactions and emotions to my coverage. But not to results. Does that make sense?
I think he's special teams and depth. I see him more as the backup MIKE in base.
