Thank you for joining the weekly chat. Much to discuss in third weekend of the preseason. Let's get to it...
Agholor and Clement will be back Week 1. Not so sure yet on Alshon Jeffery, who is still on PUP. Next week will be a big week for him
Actually, I just got off the practice field. he's practicing today. He has a good shot to make the team with a strong showing.
I believe so, but that's without information from the doctors. It's a medical decision.
Honestly, I can see them keeping five. They can look at the waiver wire and see who else is out there if they want to add someone else. I don't think anyone else has locked down a spot.
Seattle released Marcus Smith, who reportedly might retire. Smith's story would be different if he was a third-round pick. As a first-round pick, expectations were so high.
I am, although when Bradham and Hicks are healthy, they're fine. Question is for Week 1 or if they suffer an injury. Nate Gerry and Kamu Grugier-Hill are the top two reserves.
Derek Barnett. Think he has the potential to be a double-digit sack player.
In the Eagles' draft class, potentially. He looks like he can be a starter down the line. Maybe Wisniewski's eventual replacement.
Defensive ends are deep/ Defensive tackles are a bigger question. Being able to move Michael Bennett and Brandon Graham inside helps. I think the defensive line will be the strength of the defense.
Fair question. I'm writing more about this later today. You shouldn't be concerned with how they've looked; you should be more concerned with who they're missing. Preseason performance doesn't matter so much. But getting a chance to play together does.
Zach Ertz. Go with him in fantasy football.
Sure, definitely a chance. I think Eagles keep him on the 53.
No, he's on game shape. He's the third cornerback right now. He won't crack the top two without injury.
I'd still say Week 1, but I'm less sure about that one.
A chance, for sure, because it's a premium position. But they have younger players at that position and he's going to command a big contract, so I'd guess he's elsewhere.
Right now, Cameron Johnston is the punter. My guess is they explore all their options when they determine their opening day roster.
It's a weaker spot on the roster. They need to stay healthy there, which is tough with Jordan Hicks' injury history. And there's not much they can do to add to the position now.
They have a tough decision because it hasn't been a full evaluation. I actually think Josh Adams gets it. He returned to practice today and has a good chance to show himself during the next two weeks.
Elliott was a clutch kicker. He's young and inexpensive. They're not looking to move on. As for Lovato, I see your point. But I think the Eagles didn't want to burn their roster spot when Lovato is a guy they like.
Nope, I think he's inactive this year while he develops.
